About Aaron

Aaron Hunt is a Certified High Conflict Diversion Coach, an instructor in the High Conflict Diversion Program™*, and a Somatic Experiencing™ Student. He integrates somatic experiencing, attachment theory, and evidenced-based conflict-resolution frameworks to help clients reclaim calm, agency, and clarity in the face of chaos and high stress.

Aaron’s coaching style blends strategic thinking with deep nervous system awareness. His work draws on principles from Brook Olsen, Bill Eddy, Ross Rosenberg, Nedra Glover Tawwab and other leaders in the fields of high-conflict dynamics, self-regulation, and boundary-setting. He equips clients with practical tools to disengage from conflict, prioritize child well-being, and maintain emotional integrity in the face of high-stakes parenting stress. He teaches parallel parenting as a do no harm subset of co-parenting.

Aaron helps his coaching clients shift out of survival mode and into a more stable, empowered way of showing up—for your kids and for yourself.

Aaron's journey as a coach began following 10 years of working in in mental health as a therapist**. In addition to his passion of supporting clients face and overcome their challenges, he holds a deep appreciation for mindfulness. Aaron sees mindfulness as a critical resource and skill in doing one's personal work. He has been practicing and studying mindfulness since 2012, beginning at U. Mass and transferred to Brown University where he completed Level 1 MBSR Teacher training. He plans to complete SE training in 2026.

Aaron's Personal Experience in High Conflict

Through navigating his own litigious paternity case Aaron gained firsthand insight and experience into the emotional, legal, and logistical challenges that many parents face in high-conflict custody disputes. Throughout that process, he relied heavily on the very tools he now teaches—disengaging from the conflict, strategic communication, nervous system regulation, boundary setting (and holding them), and documentation.

It's essential to learn these concepts early in your litigation otherwise you may end up looking like the high conflict coparent.

"Coaching provided me with the structure and support I needed to stay aligned with court orders, respond effectively under pressure, and protect my role as an involved parent. That experience deepened my understanding of how to support others through similar challenges with clarity, integrity, and resilience."

**Although Coach Aaron is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas, his counseling practice and coaching business are completely separate. When you work with him as a coach, he is not serving in the role of a therapist. Aaron’s training and experience as a mental health professional naturally inform his understanding of high conflict dynamics, trauma resolution, and stress reduction. This background enriches his coaching, but it does not constitute or replace therapy. Coaching is an educational and consultative process designed to build insight, strategy, and self-leadership—not a form of clinical treatment. Aaron often collaborates with clients’ existing therapists and strongly encourages anyone in need of therapy to work directly with a licensed mental health provider.
