High Conflict Diversion Program

Support for parents in conflict

End the cycle. Reclaim your peace. Protect your children.

What Is the High Conflict Diversion Program?

The High Conflict Diversion Program* (HCDP) is a court-admissible, research-informed coaching course for parents navigating high-conflict custody or co-parenting relationships. Built on the foundational work of Brook Olsen, this program is designed to do what traditional co-parenting courses cannot: break the cycle of reactivity and teach one parent—yes, just one—how to create peace in a chaotic dynamic.

The program has been successfully ordered and implemented in courts across the U.S. and has helped countless families exit the litigation loop and reduce harm to their children.

This is not a “co-parenting” class. It is a conflict disengagement program.

Why High Conflict Is Different

Studies show that while 50% of marriages end in divorce, nearly 30% of those divorces are classified as high conflict. These are not simply couples who “don’t get along”—these are cases often marked by emotional volatility, boundary violations, personality pathology, substance use, or chronic litigation. Children in these environments are at elevated risk—emotionally, physically, developmentally, and relationally.

Traditional co-parenting strategies don’t work in these cases. In fact, many court-ordered solutions unintentionally escalate the conflict by assuming mutual goodwill or cooperation.

The HCDP offers a radically different framework:

  • It only takes one parent to end the cycle.

  • The strategy begins with disengagement, not compromise.

  • The goal is not agreement—it’s stability and safety for your child.

What You'll Learn

This program is about learning how to parent from a place of grounded strength—even if the other parent remains reactive, manipulative, or adversarial. You’ll learn:

  • How to disengage from conflict (even when provoked)

  • How to communicate without escalating (using written tools like BIFF)

  • Why parallel parenting works when co-parenting doesn’t

  • How to respond to boundary violations without getting sucked back in

  • How to create safety and consistency for your child—regardless of what the other parent does

  • How to heal your own nervous system so you’re no longer ruled by fear, anger, or shame

What Sets This Program Apart

1. It doesn’t require the other parent’s participation.

2. It’s grounded in trauma theory, attachment, and nervous system regulation.

3. It is trusted by family court judges and attorneys across the U.S.

4. A certificate of completion is available for court submission.

You’ll also gain access to:

  • Weekly live coaching classes with Aaron

  • Practical tools and handouts

  • Optional 1:1 coaching sessions for support between classes

Who Is It For?

  • Parents stuck in litigious, high-drama custody battles

  • Professionals under court order to take a “high conflict” parenting class

  • Single parents overwhelmed by the emotional fallout of their co-parenting dynamic

  • Anyone ready to stop fighting and start protecting their peace and their child’s future

The Heart of the Work

“If one parent simply changes their way of thinking and acting, the conflict almost always ends.”
— Brook Olsen, founder of the High Conflict Diversion Program

You don’t have to win the fight to end the war. In fact, the only way to win is to stop playing the game. When you stop responding to provocation, refuse to dance in chaos, and start showing up for your child with calm, grounded energy—you become the safe parent they need. You become the anchor in the storm.

This program will teach you how.
